To be able to live in a time when David Bowie existed is truly magical. No one was as innovative as he was. He has a way of touching the souls of everyone who listened to his music. His death was no different than his life, a pure work of art. David Bowie was immensely talented and effortlessly cool. He brought theatricality and art to pop culture and embraced the things that made him different. He was fearless and his music always had your back and let you know that it was okay to just be yourself. That there was a place for you somewhere, whether it be on earth or another planet. He let us know that changes were not only okay but necessary. He was a voice for every generation’s misfit and when he sang I felt like I belonged. David Bowie let us feel like we could be heroes for a day, but he was and will continue to be the ultimate hero, legend, golden one, goblin king, starman. He will outlive us all through his music. Thank you so much for the magic. I hope you know how much everyone around the world loves you. I am so grateful for all you contributed to this world with your music and essence in human culture. For what you gave us till the very end. His art will continue to inspire everyone and he will never be forgotten. In all these ways he will become immortal. David Bowie was one of those super geniuses that didn’t belong here but it was immensely special that he payed us a visit and changed our world for the better.
